New Hair for CNY!
We had so much fun together!
Tammy with her reddish hair color and highlights. My violet hair color, which looks like black, but after a few wash, it turns from beetroot color to now reddish color. Our hair done in Hairkunst Saloon @ Curve. Good service! We bought Hairkunst promo voucher from Groupsmore, the voucher was RM80 (worth RM200), I opted for hair coloring for my medium hair length! It's so worth it! Tammy, she jst need to top up the balance for her highlights. You guys should check out Groupsmore from time to time, they really got some good deals going on there! :)Wednesday, January 19, 2011

My first visit to GSC MAXX
My first visit to GSC Maxx, it took over Imaxx, belif it or not, I havent been to that too. But is ok, at least I've stepped into GSC Maxx! You guys should at least go watch at least once to feel the experience, it's different from the 3D movies we watch in normal GSC hall.
GSC Maxx is the biggest digital and 3D digital hall with a screen size of 24 meter width and a seating capacity of 555 seats. This digital hall has also been fitted with a fully digital sound system, the Dolby CP 750 which was designed to work within the new digital hall environment and integrates easily with pre-show servers, alternative contents and digital cinema servers.
Me with my heavy 3D glasses, and lookin' cool with it. :P It's yellow color at the side. It is an active polarized 3D system with 3D Tech active glasses.
3D movie of the day: Shock Labyrinth from the Director of Ju-on, Takashi Shimuzu. This is Japan's first ever 3D horror film. The film is base on the Senritsu Meikyu (translated as The Shock Labyrinth) which is an attraction at near Mt. Fuji at Fuji- Q Highland Amusement park. The Senritsu Meikyu attraction holds the Guiness World Record for "The longest horror-house walk through". Oh the house of horror previously was an abandon hospital, so the things inside the house of horror is what remains in the hopspital. Pretty scary and interesting right? This is where the director filmed the movie, during park's close hours. Oh my, i won't be going to such a horror house, I heard the horror house takes about 90mins walk from the beginning till the end!
Shock Labyrinth is not that scary as Ju-on. But I like the director filmed the movie, I don't really like horror movie heavily edited with sound effects before the 'scary' thing appears on screen, or the usual floating of hair on the ceiling, or super long hair. At least this is different, you won't see such things in here. :)

A mini ship-like food and beverage counter.

Songs of the day
Just downloaded this album "Let The Truth Be Told" 2009 from Laura Izibor. Love her vocals, and sounded like Aretha Frenklin style.
Love her even more, when saw her performance in youtube, could feel her emotions coming from her performance, she sang them with a soul. Both songs appeared in One Tree Hill.

Seng Kei Wan Tan Mee

Today I waited at this famous stall selling Chai Siew Wan Tan Mee at Sunway Mas Complex at Aman Suria. I waited for 45 mins, n i didnt throw any tantrum or feeling grumpy at all. The uncle seller gave me one long slice of char siew, yummieee! I actually turned him down, and he insisted, probably seeing me waited so long and still smiling sweetly. Patient is a good virtue and i got an unexpected award which is the long yummie char siew! Yumm!

Student suprised me!
As usual, Mark came for piano lesson on friday. He is a funny 16 year old boy, pretty smart and knowledgeable. He thought me a lot of things especially with computer stuffs and about how movie 3D made and etc. Amazing for a 16 year old boy. This year, he is preparing for grade 7 piano exam. When the lesson ended, he packed his bag and waited for his mom to fetch him. But he walked to the piano and sat down. The next thing he did was So Amazing and a complete surprise! He played Chopin's Waltz in A flat major 'L'adieu', op.69, no.1. He played the whole piece complete by memory. I was standing behind him and listened to every note he played and I was like 'whoaaa' in my heart. Really made my day! It was a completely surprise as I did not asked him to memorize any pieces and he took the holiday time to memorise it. Bravo!! For a teacher like me, this is the best gift from a student! :)
Unforunately, I did not record his playing, so am gonan share a link from youtube on Chopin Waltz Op.69, no.1

Life and Death

I came across these 2 quotations at the entrance of a crematorium today. I thought it is very meaningful and it sort of make me understand and accept death. The english quote is taken from Hamlet's text by Shakespeare. To me, it meant there is a mystery of life, how we born to the earth/nature and go back to where we came from, our soul lives eternity after death. Every living thing must die in this world, and when our body turn to dust, that's when our soul seek and meet GOD, which leads to eternity. Therefore, we have to be strong and live life through no matter how we were not willing to let go the person we loved, as he or she will live even more happily next to GOD. That's my translation when I read them, these words might touch you differently and meant differently to you too. What's your thoughts?
For the chinese quotation, it meant there are flowers bloom and flowers wilt, the wilt one turns to sand/soil. One life's end, and another life will be born. This is the nature of the earth/life.
"Do not for ever with thy vailed lids
Seek for thy noble father in the dust.
Thou know'st 'tis common. All that lives must die,
Passing through nature to eternity"
- Hamlet I:II:70
Another chinese quote which I roughly remembered :
'华开花落, 华落变春泥
一个生命的结束,原来一生命的开始
这是大自然规律,生生一息'
Seek for thy noble father in the dust.
Thou know'st 'tis common. All that lives must die,
Passing through nature to eternity"

p/s: Treasure each moments whenever you are with someone, and do your best for them while you can before they were gone and before it's too late.

Boutique edition monopoly bought from Toys'R'us! RM119.00
Very girlish type of monopoly to my collection. :)
Day 4

Am amazed on such piano, where the keys of the grand piano still playing as though there is some "ghost" is playing some beautiful tunes on the grand piano. Actually this type of grand piano already installed Disklavier, a device that they can reproduce not only 'live' acoustic piano concerts, but ensemble music with instrumental and vocal tracks as well. They allow you to record and play back your own performance, create complex multi-track arrangements, and connect to the world of musical opportunities offered by MIDI devices, personal computers and the Internet.
Attended Tammy's Back To School Birthday Party on the same day, had so much fun and laughters, food and prizes and meeting lovely people!!
Thanks for inviting me, love the theme so much! :)Day 2
